To My Valued Patients:

After 32 years of practice at Pacific Grove Vision Center Family Optometry, I am announcing my retirement.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for allowing me to provide eye care services to you and your families.  After very careful consideration, I have selected an outstanding doctor to purchase my practice and to continue patient care after my retirement.  I am very proud to introduce Dr. Michael Neunzig, O.D.  Dr. Neunzig is a graduate of the Southern California College of Optometry and the University of California, Davis.  He also completed a residency in Geriatric and Hospital-based Optometry at the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles.

In addition, Dr. Neunzig brings with him two associates, Dr. Cary Carlos and Dr. Steven Neunzig.  Dr. Carlos is a graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, where she earned her doctorate degree in optometry.  Many of you may remember Dr. Carlos when she worked at my practice several years ago.  She is the wife of Dr. Michael Neunzig.  Dr. Steven Neunzig also graduated from the Southern California College of Optometry and received his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Davis.  He is the brother of Dr. Michael Neunzig.  Together, this new practice will truly be a family affair.

These doctors bring over 40 years of combined experience in providing the best in eye care.  Their training and experience are extensive.  I have every confidence the care they will provide will be second to none.

Beginning August 3, 2009, these doctors will begin practicing at my former office at 505 Lighthouse Avenue.  It is my understanding they will continue to accept the same vision and medical insurance plans I have accepted for years.  The doctors will provide comprehensive eye exam services, including contact lens evaluations, infant and child eye exams, Lasik consultations, diabetic screening and ocular health examinations, cataract evaluations, and treatment and management of ocular disease.  Dr. Neunzig plans to make some upgrades to the practice and to expand the optical department, as well, to provide you with the latest eyewear fashions.  As always, a friendly, well-trained staff will be available to assist you.

Should you have any questions regarding this transition, please do not hesitate to visit or call the office soon.  The doctors and staff await your questions and look forward to meeting you.  I have placed my full confidence in these doctors and I have no doubt they will provide the same great professional services you have come to expect from my practice.
