Michael D. Neunzig, O.D.

Dr. Michael Neunzig received his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of California, Davis in 1993.  He then earned his doctorate in Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry in 1997 and completed a residency in Geriatric/Hospital-based Optometry at the Department of Veteran's Affairs Medical Center in West Los Angeles, CA in 1998.

Dr. Neunzig is licensed by the California State Board of Optometry to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents, as well as licensed to perform lacrimal dilation and irrigation.  He received his glaucoma certification in 2012.  He has over 15 years experience in performing comprehensive eye examinations, fitting contact lenses, and diagnosing and treating many ocular diseases. 

Dr. Neunzig was a past member of the American Optometric Association, California Optometric Association, and the Monterey Bay Optometric Association, where he served as Director of Education for two years.

Dr. Neunzig enjoys an active lifestyle.  He enjoys gardening, playing with his dog, and spending time with family.

                                                                                                                         Cary M. Carlos, O.D.   

Dr. Cary Carlos joined Pacific Grove Optometric Center in 2009 and brought with her over 20 years of experience in professional vision and eye health care.  Dr. Carlos received her Optometry degree from the University of California Berkeley School of Optometry in 1986.  She excels in the treatment and management of challenging vision correction cases, contact lens vision correction, and pre and post-operative vision care.  She practices with an emphasis on pediatric vision and has three children of her own.

Dr. Carlos is also fluent in Spanish and has volunteered much of her time in vision and eye care outreach programs in the Dominican Republic and here at home.

Dr. Carlos has served as president of the Monterey Bay Optometric Society.  She is a past member of the American Optometric Association and California Optometric Association.  She is a current member of the U.C. Berkeley School of Optometry Alumni Association.

Dr. Carlos is licensed by the California State Board of Optometry to use diagnostic and therapeutic pharmaceutical agents and to treat many ocular diseases.

Dr. Carlos enjoys hiking, cycling, gourmet food, and spending time with family and friends.  She also happens to be married to Dr. Neunzig.
